CASII has signed an MoU with the Gujarat Institute of Desert Ecology (GUIDE), Bhuj, Gujarat. The Cooperation will initially involve exploration of common interests in sustainable development, with a special emphasis on the desert environment of Kachchh and its unique flora and fauna. This shall be done through joint research projects, conferences, publications, on-line research portals and Study India Programmes.

and CASII are now partners and have signed an MoU. Their common area of interest being the Indian Diaspora, they will be researching this aspect of Indian Studies in the context of joint symposiums, projects and publications. Details are being worked out and will be announced soon.

European Union's Marie Curie Initial Training Network CoHaB (Diasporic Constructions of Home and Belonging )


has entered into a partnership with CASII, in which CASII is an associate partner in this International Project comprised of six partner universities, Westfalische Wilhelms Muenster, Germany, Oxford University, London University, Northampton University and Stockholm University . CASII will be training the doctoral researchers in this project in areas of films and the environment.

CASII is from September 2015 a Cooperating Institution of UNESCO Memory of the World Programme (MoW) Sub-Committee on Education and Research (SCEaR)

Project on Documenting the Ship Building, Maritime Trade and Diaspora from Mandvi, Kachchh, Gujarat to the Eastern Coast of Africa and the Arab World History and Documentation of the Freedom of the Press in India
